TO the Class of 2020: Follow Dmitri!
Dmitri Mendeleev is an exemplary example of the 4 Ps. Patience, Persistence, Perseverance, and Planning. (And the 5th P.)
This post is a shout out of encouragement to the Class of 2020. This COVID-19 pandemic changed a lot of things for them. But perhaps the example of Dmitri Mendeleev might help them put things in perspective and refocus on their future.

Dmitri Mendeleev is an exemplary example of the 4 Ps.
Patience, Persistence, Perseverance, and Planning.

He walked all the way to Moscow so he could attend a university.
He was not accepted.
When Plan A didn’t work, he proceeded with Plan B.
He walked all the way to another institution of higher learning.
He was accepted.
With the education he received, he went on to develop “the Fifth P”:
The Periodic Table of Elements.
